Learning and Development
DTS offers a range of programmes that develop individuals and training team skills either within a formal educational context or work based learning.
We tailor programmes to suit specific needs and environments to help equip those delivering training with knowledge and skills to be innovative and effective with a wide range of learners.
Our programme titles include:
- Train the Trainer
Programmes developed to suit the needs of the organisation with programmes varying in length depending on the range of resources used and available. - Instructional techniques
Short programme that provides those delivering learning in a practical work context consider a range of techniques and understand different learning styles to ensure that delivery is structured and effective. - Presentation skills
How to deliver presentations according to the varying needs of both the content, audience and outcome requirements. How to be effective in overcoming nerves, working the audience, structuring the content, using appropriate support materials, understanding body language, when and where to use Power Point, voice control, and timing. - Programme design
How to structure learning programmes with consideration to the learning outcomes required. - Evaluation techniques
Purpose and effective use of evaluation of learning programmes ensuring you capture effective information. - Managing dynamic groups
This is incorporated into the main programmes however, it can be delivered separately. The ability to engage and manage very diverse groups with different needs is often the weakness of many trainers. This programme looks specifically in how to engage, challenge, include and achieve effective learning environments in difficult circumstances. The programme is best delivered where delegates bring experiences to the training for review and analysis.
All programmes have been aligned previously to either full learning and development qualifications or certificate awards as a measure of effectiveness with assessment carried out in the work environment following training. These qualifications are currently undergoing change and we will aim to continue to offer accreditation within the new qualifications when available.
